Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 24, 2026

1. Introduction

Reload Manager (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a reloading tracker platform (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. We are committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable privacy laws.

By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: name, email address, password (hashed)
  • Reloading data: brass, components, reload logs, firearms, inventory, measurements
  • Uploaded files: range target photographs, chronograph CSV exports, manufacturer/model icons, and any attachments you submit to the Service
  • Profile information: any optional details you add to your account
  • Communications: messages you send to us for support

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and browser information (user agent string, OS, screen size)
  • IP address
  • Login history: we log each login attempt with your IP address, browser identifier, timestamp, and success/failure status for security and account protection purposes
  • Activity timestamps: we record when you last used the Service
  • Two-factor authentication: if you enable 2FA, we store an encrypted TOTP secret and hashed one-time backup codes. These are deleted when you disable 2FA or delete your account
  • Usage data (pages visited, features used, timestamps)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies

2.3 Payment Information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details. We receive and store your Stripe customer ID and subscription ID to manage your account. Stripe’s collection and use of your data is governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

2.4 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from advertising partners and analytics providers to improve our Service and deliver relevant advertisements.

2.5 Public Calculators (No Account)

Our free public calculators (available under /calculators — e.g. neck bushing, twist-rate stability, MOA/MIL converter) run entirely in your browser. The calculator inputs and results never leave your device, and we do not collect, store, or transmit them. The pages themselves load HTML/JavaScript over standard web requests like any other public page, which is subject to the cookie and analytics practices described in Section 6.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • To authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password resets)
  • To generate anonymized, aggregated analytics and insights
  • To display targeted advertisements based on your usage patterns
  • To provide affiliate/referral links to component and equipment retailers
  • To share anonymized and de-identified data with manufacturers and industry partners
  • To monitor login activity and detect unauthorized access attempts
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

4.1 Anonymized Data Sharing with Manufacturers

We may share aggregated, anonymized, and de-identified reloading data with component manufacturers and industry partners. This data does not contain any personally identifiable information (PII) and cannot be used to identify individual users. Examples include aggregate trends in caliber popularity, component usage patterns, and load data statistics.

4.2 Advertising and Analytics Partners

We use Google Ads (Google Tag / gtag.js) to measure advertising effectiveness and track conversions on certain pages of the Service (such as the landing page, registration, and pricing pages). Google may collect information about your browsing activity through cookies, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and interactions with ads. This data is processed by Google in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.

You may opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings, your browser privacy controls, or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4.3 Affiliate and Referral Links

The Service may contain affiliate or referral links to third-party retailers. When you click these links and make a purchase, we may receive a commission. These links are clearly identified. The linked retailers have their own privacy policies that govern your interaction with their sites.

4.4 Social Media Cross-Posting

We may automatically cross-post our own product announcements and changelog entries to social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter). Only content authored by Reload Manager (release notes, feature announcements) is posted in this way. User-uploaded data — your reload logs, inventory, range targets, chronograph data, or any other personal content — is never automatically posted to social media. When we cross-post, the social platform receives the public announcement text and a link back to the relevant page on our site.

4.5 Other Disclosures

  • Service providers who assist in operating the platform (hosting, email, analytics)
  • Legal authorities when required by law, subpoena, or court order
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Reload Manager, our users, or others

5. Your Rights

5.1 GDPR Rights (EU/EEA Users)

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Restriction — restrict processing of your data
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing
  • Withdraw Consent — withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

5.2 CCPA Rights (California Residents)

Under the CCPA, California residents have the right to:

  • Know what personal information is collected and how it is used
  • Request deletion of personal information
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information
  • Non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights

We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA. Anonymized, de-identified data shared with partners does not constitute a “sale” under the CCPA.

5.3 How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email address provided in Section 10. We will respond within 30 days (or as required by applicable law). We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences, and analyze usage patterns.

Google Ads / Google Tag. We use Google’s gtag.js on select pages to track ad conversions and measure campaign performance. This sets cookies on your device that may be used by Google to serve personalized ads across the web. These cookies include _gcl_au, _gac_, and related identifiers.

Stripe. Our payment processor Stripe may set cookies for fraud prevention and payment processing purposes.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit functionality.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings. Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Login history records (IP address, browser identifier, timestamp, and status) are retained for security purposes and are deleted when your account is deleted.

Two-factor authentication secrets and backup codes are deleted immediately when you disable 2FA, and are deleted when your account is deleted.

Anonymized and aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics and business purposes.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. International Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. Where we transfer data outside the EU/EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by the GDPR (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

10. Contact Us

For privacy-related inquiries, requests, or complaints:

Email: privacy@reloadmanager.com

If you are in the EU/EEA and are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or a prominent notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
